The season of Advent is a time to prepare our hearts to receive Christ’s coming in repentance and faith. During the season of Advent, we have special midweek services to assist us in this holy endeavor. Our Advent midweek services this year will consider the canticles from the Gospel according to St. Luke.
Services each Wednesday begin at 7:00 p.m., following the order of Evening Prayer. A light meal at 5:45 p.m. in the Activity Center precedes the service each week. Make plans to make these special services a part of your Advent devotion this year!
Welcome to our church! Faith Lutheran Church is a caring community of Christians who gather around God's gifts of Word and Sacrament. It is through these gifts that we come to know the good news that Jesus Christ, the very Son of God, defeated sin, death, and the Devil on the cross. As we gather for worship, prayer, bible study, and fellowship, it is the cross and empty tomb of our Lord that sustain us!
Having been thus served by God, we at Faith are committed to serving the world by spreading the Gospel. We seek to be involved in mission, both locally and globally, so that people would come to knowledge of salvation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition to spreading that Gospel, we seek to serve others through acts of mercy and love--thereby showing forth the fruits of faith to the glory of God and the benefit of His creation!
If you're not currently a member of our congregation, we'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to one of our weekly services. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our Pastor at (618) 466-3833, ext. 201.
We hope you and your family will have a warm and Gospel-centered experience with us as we join together in worship and fellowship at our services, events, and ministries!
In Christ,
Pastor Timothy Appel
