Welcome to Faith Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Godfrey, IL! Located at 6809 Godfrey Road, we are a Christian church, preaching Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, in Madison County. Worship is the central part of our life together, with services every Saturday evening at 5 PM and every Sunday morning at 9 AM. Bible study for adults and Sunday school for children gives strength to our faith every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM. For almost 75 years, Faith Lutheran Church has been proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in southern Illinois to residents of Godfrey, Alton, Brighton, and the surrounding communities.

Faith Lutheran Church exists to tell Godfrey, the state of Illinois, and ultimately the whole world: “Jesus is the Savior!” But this good news isn't just for those people over there, who live in a different part of Godfrey, or in a different neighborhood in Alton, or in a different town far away from Brighton. This good news is FOR YOU right where you are! Whether you join us for worship, Sunday school, Bible study, youth group, VBS, Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), men's group, or any other activity at our church, you will hear the good news of Jesus for you. Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2026 is right around the corner! Join us from 5:45-8:00 PM each evening, July 12-16, for Wake, Awake Vacation Bible School. Children ages 3 years old to 6th grade are welcome to join us to learn about Jesus. Click here to register!

Faith Lutheran Church is conveniently located on Godfrey Road near the intersection of three key highways: US 67, IL 111, and IL 255. We're just north of the Godfrey Wal-Mart and right across the highway from the Godfrey Village Hall. The entrance to the church parking lot is off US 67.
Our unique location allows us to serve residents from a number of communities, including our own hometown of Godfrey. We're only 6 miles from Alton and Brighton, and the rural communities of Delhi and Dow are about that same short distance from Faith. Even Grafton is less than 20 miles from Faith Lutheran Church! Wherever you call home, Faith Lutheran Church is a church home FOR YOU!

At Faith Lutheran Church, we make use of the Divine Service and hymns from Lutheran Service Book, the most recent hymnal of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). These orders of worship and hymns aren't unique to Christians in Godfrey and Alton. Our liturgy and hymns have blessed countless Christians in countless churches throughout history, and they are still blessing Lutheran churches in Madison County, the rest of southern Illinois, and throughout our country still today. Don't worry if the service is unfamiliar to you the first time. As we repeat words from the Bible in church every week, God plants His Word in our hearts and fills us with joy. Whether you join us on Saturday evening or Sunday morning, come and rejoice with us at Faith Lutheran Church!
